Protests against the screening of ‘The Kerala Story’ in Kochi and Coimbatore; security tightened

Protests broke out in Kochi and Coimbatore in response to the screening of the film "The Kerala Story". Youth Congress workers of the NCP staged protests in Kochi against the release of the movie. Activists of the Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) and Fraternity Movement staged a protest in front of Shenoy’s theatre in Kochi against the screening of the controversial film. The movie is facing backlash from several parts of Kerala and has stoked controversy ever since its teaser was released in November 2022.
