WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Friday gave final approval to the US-Canada Keystone XL oil pipeline, saying it would create jobs and improve America's energy security.
"It's a great day for American jobs and a historic moment for North America and energy independence," he said.
Two years ago the US State Department estimated the project would create 50 permanent jobs and 42,000 jobs directly and indirectly during construction.
