BEIJING: At least nine people were killed and six others injured when a section of platform collapsed at an amusement park in central China's Hubei Province, local officials said.
Emergency services took 59 hours to rescue all the trapped workers after the accident at an amusement park construction site in Macheng city last week.
Nine people were killed and six others were injured. All the injured are receiving treatment in hospital, state-run Xinhua reported today quoting local government officials.
Nine people have been taken into custody following the accident, it said.
The provincial safety production supervision authority has sent a work team to the city to investigate the incident, the report said
