BENGALURU: After the City Police Commissioner refused permission to hold a New Year’s eve event featuring Bollywood actress Sunny Leone, the organisers are seeking a review of the decision.
They are approaching the police and Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy with the request to reconsider their decision.
They have not stopped accepting bookings for the event yet. If permission is still denied,
they want it to be given in writing.
On Friday, Commissioner T Suneel Kumar had said permission will not be given for the event as the police expected a law-and-order issue to crop up at the venue. He said he could not afford to give extra security as the entire force would be deployed across the city on the night of December 31.
Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy did not want to comment on the issue.
