Googling phobias could be misleading

BENGALURU: My friend is going through depression. It is in regard to his personal life and affairs and I do not want to interfere. A week ago he sent me a message saying he wants to die. How can a friend help a friend undergoing depression?
The sender of such message is in desperation and hopelessness.  They do not know how to solve the current problem.  You text him back saying that help is available and you ask him to let you know his problems at least.

I have a fear of irregular patterns, trypophobia. How can I get over this phobia?
Any type of fear will be associated with anxiety.  You need to work on your anxious personality.  Please consult psychiatrist for medication and a psychologist for therapy.  Avoid Googling for more information and the situation will worsen because every symptom seem to match with yours.

My best friend died a month ago. Not a day goes by without her thought. I have found myself having a silent conversation even walking down the busy streets. I do not know if this is the way we move on or if it is in anyway healthy. Please tell me a better way to deal .
Coping will be difficult, because one would be in denial of losing such a friend.  When we refuse to accept the passing away, and anger and depression takes over.  May be one could write a poetry or organise a blood donation camp or be socially involved in activity the person loved to do.  If prolonged sadness bothers, then talk to someone.

I am 21-years-old, working woman. It’s been a year that I moved to the city and I stay in a hostel. Despite of being busy, there are times I feel low and get absurd thoughts in my mind. Is this mental illness or is it just loneliness. Please help.
Introspect if there are adjustment issues.  Are you feeling home sick?  Are you getting quality sleep and food.  Do you like the city?  Does commuting bother you?  Vitamin D3 and B12 deficiency too can cause these kind of feelings.  Consult your physician.  He will help you out.

Me and my ex-boyfriend ended the relationship abruptly before last year. I have not seen him ever since and now I am in a happy relationship with an amazing man. However, when I am with my boyfriend almost everything reminds me of my ex and I feel that is hindering me to create new memories. Will time help or is my mind sub-consciously trying to say something
When we part abruptly, whatever feelings that has remained unresolved in the past tend to haunt in the present relationship.  Forgive yourself.  If you are happy in the present, with an amazing man, feel that happiness.  Today is tomorrow’s subconscious.

I am a 27-year-old confident women but recently I have been feeling very unlike myself. When my boss calls me in his chamber or when someone calls my name, I keep thinking what have I done wrong. I also sweat for no reason. How can I determine if I am suffering from anxiety or depression?
It could be the beginning of panic/anxiety attack.  The symptoms are marked by insecurity, wanting to excel in everything but a sudden sense of negative self evaluation, and a sense threat being perceived in every situation.  When you try to reassure yourself and body feels cool and you sweat.  Consult a psychiatrist for mixed anxiety and depression.
