CHENNAI: IBM and Tally on Monday entered into a partnership to deliver Tally’s ERP 9 Gold on IBM’s Smart Business platform, targeting mainly the dynamic Indian mid-market.
The IBM and Tally solution stands out in its ability to offer an open, simplified IT experience that reduces the complexity of managing the IT industry.
IBM delivers this solution complete with all necessary hardware and software needed for small and medium businesses and Tally ERP 9 provides accounting, finance, inventory management, remote access and security management.
“This agreement comes at a time when signs of an economic recovery are prompting aggressive Indian businesses to position themselves for growth. Tally introduced Tally ERP 9 to target growing companies which can avoid expensive outlays of funds and IT staffing,” said Bharat Goenka, CEO of Tally.
He also said that small and medium businesses would be able to purchase the new solution starting this month exclusively from Value Added Resellers (VARs). One such reseller is Antraweb Technologies, a leading provider of Tally solutions and services.
“IBM is excited to add this market leading solution to our Smart Business portfoilo. This could be a significant driver of IBM’s mid-market solutions business,’’ said Shankar Annaswamy, Regional General Manger, IBM, India/South Asia.
