Air Arabia to run two Delhi-Sharjah flights daily

In a bid to increase its market share, Middle East based budget carrier Air Arabia Wednesday said it will start operating two daily flight services between New Delhi and Sharjah from Sep 1, 2012.

"We are confident that the expansion of services between Sharjah and India's capital will further enhance the air travel options for the residents of both states and positively contribute to the economic development of both countries," said Adel Ali, group chief executive, Air Arabia.

"The rapidly expanding aviation sector in India is one of the country's major economic drivers. India has always been a market of focus for Air Arabia," Ali added.

Currently, the airline serves 13 cities across India from Sharjah, ferrying business men, labour and immigrants to and from India.
