Central Bank of India today posted net loss of Rs 1,508.74 crore for the July-September quarter of this 2013-14 fiscal.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 329.92 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, 2012-13.
"The Central Bank of India has posted a net loss of Rs 15,087.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2013 as compared to net profit of Rs 3,299.20 million for the quarter
ended September 30, 2012," it said in a filing to the BSE.
The total income of the bank has increased from Rs 5,680.63 crore in the second quarter of last fiscal to Rs 6,236.51 crore in Q2 of 2013-14.
The bank's stock ended at Rs 56.30 a piece on the BSE, down 3.76 per cent.
