Wayne Burt inks Seven Mous with GE Aviation

CHENNAI:  Wayne Burt Group, through its aerospace arm Kerns Aero Products, has entered into seven MoUs with aviation giant GE Aviation to manufacture aircraft components. The special purpose vehicle is located in the Chennai Industrial Region.

“Kerns would work closely with GE Aviation in several fields, including ones such as aircraft engine components,” said T G S Mahesh, president and CEO of Wayne Burt, here on Friday.

“Kerns manufactures high precision, complex, special process aircraft engine components for aircraft and rocket engines. Through this tie-up, being the defence offset partner to GE opens up Kerns to growth potential, especially in the Indian defence segment,” he said.

Investment routed to the factory is currently $25 million and is expected to clock revenues of nearly $50 million within three years.
