NEW DELHI: The twists in the Tata mystery continued on Tuesday after the Group filed caveats at Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and National Company Law Tribunal to avoid any ex-parte order that may arise after Cyrus Mistry's removal from the company.

The move ensures that the group’s version is mandatorily heard before the court decided on any petition against it in this matter.

Mistry’s shock ouster as the chairman of the Tata Sons had sent shockwaves all across, inviting an immediate counter from his father, Shapoorji Pallonji, a top businessman who is the largest individual shareowner of the group. Pallonji is reportedly considering many options including the Company Law Board and the courts.

The group announced on Monday that Ratan Tata would take over as the interim chairman for four months, by which time the selection panel it has constituted is expected to arrive at a decision.
