Air Pegasus to Invest Rs 200 Crore, Add New Flights

Air Pegasus, has now embarked on incurring a capital expenditure of Rs 200 crore in the forthcoming year by adding more aircraft to its fleet.

BENGALURU: Air Pegasus, has now embarked on incurring a capital expenditure of Rs 200 crore in the forthcoming year by adding more aircraft to its fleet.

“In our first year we flew 2,80,000 passengers with a load factor of 82 per cent, and we now intend to add more aircraft to our existing fleet to connect South India with South India,” said Shyson Thomas, Managing Director, Air Pegasus.

The company is expected to add two more aircraft within a month and have ordered five more aircraft to connect new destinations including Goa, Puducherry, Kochi and Vijayawada,  he said.

The proposed investment will also help us in adding convenience for our passengers with better timing apart from improved frequency for enhanced experience.

Based out of the Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore, Air Pegasus currently operates flights to Hubli, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Mangalore, Chennai and Kadapa and has plans to subsequently scale up its services to connect Tuticorin, Belgaum, Rajahmundry and Puducherry on its radar. 

The airlines Director Ashwin Thomas said Bengaluru and Chennai are good markets for catering to flying services to employees and honchos of startup companies.

Vistara’s weekend biz class fares

Vistara on Thursday announced new weekend Business Class fares, allowing two to four Vistara customers travelling together to fly Business Class at a flat 50 per cent discount for all travellers on the booking (PNR).

The offer, applicable on one way as well as return travel during weekends for bookings made from April 14 to May 15 and for travel from  April 16 to May 15, according to the carrier.
