BENGALURU: Wipro Ltd, the Bengaluru-based IT services major, on Friday said that it has appointed Bhanumurthy B M (Bhanu) as President & Chief Operating Officer of the company. In his role, Bhanu will head all the service lines, service transformation and excellence, global delivery enablement and quality functions.
The company also announced that it has appointed G K Prasanna (GKP) as the president of a newly-created unit -- marketing, innovations and technology (MIT).
Both these appointments are effective February 1, 2016. Both Bhanu and GKP will continue to report to Abidali Z Neemuchwala, who will take over as the Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board, effective Feb 1.
