BENGALURU: Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy who was to interact with investors on Wednesday through a conference call to tell his version of the software major's boardroom battles that led to the exit of its technocrat Vishal Sikka as CEO last Friday, cancelled it citing health reasons, a report stated.

The conference has now been postponed to August 29, a report by Times of India stated.

Murthy was to interact with the company's investors across the world on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. through a conference call hosted by global asset management group Investec as it had earlier announced.

Investors from Britain, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and the US were even allowed to join the con-call by pre-registering with the facilitator and dialling the given numbers.

This would have been the first time that Murthy would have interacted with investors after Vishal Sikka in a surprise move last Friday quit as CEO and MD of the company.

Though the 70-year-old Murthy declined to respond to the company's Board charge that his continuous attacks led to Sikka's exit, he decided to explain his stand on the tussle to restore investors' confidence in the iconic IT major. This would likely happen on August 29.
