Wipro’s T K Kurien named Premji invest Chief Investment Officer

BENGALURU: T K Kurien, who will soon retire from Wipro, has been appointed the managing partner and chief investment officer of Premji Invest, the investment office of Wipro chief Azim Premji. Begin his new role on February 1, Kurien will succeed Prakash Parthasarathy, who has plans to become an entrepreneur. 

“T K (Kurien) with his decades of experience in running start-ups and established enterprises and deep financial acumen is best positioned to take Premji Invest to the next level,” said Premji.

“Prakash has built an excellent organisation at Premji Invest as its founding CIO and leaves behind an impressive track record over the last decade, delivered with integrity and trust. I wish him the very best in his entrepreneurial journey,” he added.

Kurien said, “It’s a great time for me to consider my passion for building a business when the organisation, portfolio and the leadership team is so strong. I hope to carry Premji’s values through my life and I’m humbled by his continued support.”
