Gayatri Projects wins Rs 1,363 crore irrigation contract in Karnataka

The project entails the execution of a lift irrigation system to provide irrigation for 27,462 hectares in Karnataka.

NEW DELHI: Infrastructure company Gayatri Projects today said it has bagged Rs 1,363 crore irrigation contract from Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd.     

The company has secured a Rs 1,363 crore irrigation contract in Joint Venture with RNS Infrastructure Ltd (RNS) and Sadguru Infratech Pvt Ltd (SIPL) from executive engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Ltd, Gayatri Projects said in a BSE filing.     

The project entails the execution of a lift irrigation system to provide irrigation for 27,462 hectares in Karnataka.     

The contract also involves operations and maintenance of the system for 5 years after commissioning, it added.     

Shares of Gayatri Projects were trading at Rs 141.80, up 2.20 per cent from its previous close on BSE.
