Jindal Steel and Power narrows consolidated loss to Rs 420 crore in Q1

NEW DELHI: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) today reported narrowing of its consolidated loss to Rs 420.4 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2017.    

Naveen Jindal-led company had reported a consolidated loss of Rs 1,238 crore for the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. The consolidated total income increased to Rs 6,126.6 crore in April-June 2017 from Rs 5,124.7 crore in the year-ago quarter, according to a regulatory filing by JSPL.      

Shares of the company closed at Rs 139.70 apiece on BSE, down 2.55 per cent from previous close.
