Sensex bounces back by 136 points

Fresh buying was witnessed in Bankex, realty, healthcare, capital goods and industrial stocks on Thursday morning. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 19 points to 10,999.50.

Mumbai, July 19 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday bounced back by 136 points to 36,509.08 as fresh buying was witnessed in Bankex, realty, healthcare, capital goods and industrial stocks.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 19 points to 10,999.50. The Sensex recorded intra day high and low at 36,515.58 and 36,310.17 respectively. The Nifty registered intra day high and low at 11,006.50 and 10,936.95 respectively.

The gainers were VEDL by 2.87 pc to Rs 209.65, Bharti Airtel by 2.11 pc to Rs 343.90, M & M by 2.02 pc to Rs 920.45, Tata Motors DVR by 1.85 pc to Rs 140.50 and Tata Motors by 1.83 pc to Rs 256.55.

The losers were HDFC by 1.04 pc to Rs 1987.35, TCS by 0.69 pc to Rs 1983.45, Coal India by 0.59 pc to Rs 262.45 and L & T by 0.48 pc to Rs 1283.
