To promote a unique startup culture

CHENNAI: iB Hubs Startup School, a successful four-week acceleration programme for young student startups, has come to a close. Under the patronage of Startup India, the initiative garnered attention from entrepreneurial ecosystems from across the country.
“This initiative is focused towards instilling entrepreneurial mindset among youngsters and build role models for society. They will act as change agents in their own colleges and communities, thereby taking the culture of entrepreneurship forward” says Radha Alekhya, CEO, iB Hubs.

Receiving over 550 applications from 23 states and more than 160 educational institutions, the programme captured the diversity of the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem. It benefited 70 entrepreneurs of 40 selected student startups. The startups selected for the programme were working in fields ranging from advanced technologies like IoT, Virtual Reality to fundamental problems in the society like waste management, malnutrition etc.

With the guidance of more than 20 industry stalwarts like Ashok Soota (Executive Chairman, Happiest Minds Technologies), Ankur Warikoo (Founder and CEO, Nearbuy.com), Balaji Vishwanathan (Founder, Invento) and many more, startups accelerated towards their goals.
The programme ended with experiments, one-on-one mentoring, talks by experts and finally, loads of emotions.
