Edwin J Robert, 22, is a photographer and cinematographer. Edwin has collaborated with many fashion designers for several photo shoots including brands like Land T, Attic Fox Bags, Outshiny Bags, and for a boutique, Manjal. He has also worked in two films as assistant cinematographer.

I was not born in Chennai, but the city brought me up from the age of three.

you fancy?
Chennai is fascinating in itself. Namma ooru always surprises me and teaches me a lot. No matter how far I go I always want to come back here.

Mango pickle, the cultural existence — music, dance and theater, and the beaches.

Bessie beach.
Three stereotypes about the city and the people that make you roll your eyes?
Teenagers here don’t chill, there is no night life in Chennai, and we speak English with
an accent.
Where would you take a person who is new to the city? Why?
I’d take them to T Nagar because I feel this area has a mixed diversity of culture, and also there are shopping zones and bars.
What would you do to prove someone that you are a true
Chennai vasi?
I’d take them to a Chennai Super Kings match.
