BANGALORE: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) on Friday inaugurated the one-year full-time Executive Post-Graduate Programme in Management, which is designed for midcareer professionals. Delivering the inaugural address, Biocon Chairman Kiran Mazumdar Shaw said, “The 21st century brings great challenges, especially in the context of the changing economic order.” Evolving a long-term vision is a challenge for most entrepreneurs. Yet these are exciting times with burgeoning opportunities. Innovation can deliver the competitive edge, and managing innovation effectively can make the difference between success and failure.” In his welcome address to the incoming batch of students, Professor Pankaj Chandra, Director IIMB invited the participants to utilise the resources of the institute to the fullest extent.
“These are difficult times, and yet interesting times.
The society is trying to find a balance between market and regulation,” he said.
