BANGALORE: A 45-year-old man was stabbed at his shop in Padmanabhanagar near Banashankari police station limits on Saturday.

According to the police, at about 9.30 pm, the victim Prakash, was preparing to close his tailor shop when the assailants entered and had a conversation with him. After about ten minutes, they stabbed him on his stomach and neck. Hearing Prakash shout for help, neighbours rushed to his rescue. He passed away while being shifted a hospital.

Motorist Killed in           Accident

A 32-year-old motorist succumbed to severe head injuries after a speeding Toyota Qualis ran over him in front of Raj Bhavan on Saturday.

The the deceased Vinod Kumar, a resident of R T Nagar, was working with a private bank in Koramangala.

The incident took place around 6 am when he was returning home from work. An overspeeding Qualis which was coming from the opposite direction on the wrong side, rammed into Kuamr’s bike and ran over him.

He was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared he was brought dead. The car driver Velavan, a native of Tamil Nadu has been arrested, police said.

A case has been registered at Cubbon Park traffic police station.
