BANGALORE: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare will be on naturopathy treatment for the next ten days at the Jindal Nature Cure Institute on Tumkur Road, Bangalore.

Hazare, who has been receiving medication for high blood pressure, will be put on naturopathy treatment from Friday. On Thursday afternoon, Hazare arrived at the hospital, following which doctors examined him.

Chief operating officer of Jindal Nature Cure Institute S C Jain told Express that a team of four doctors - two senior naturopaths, one chief yoga officer and a  physician - examined him thoroughly. “Treatment is likely to commence on Friday, which will comprise yogasanas, healthy diet, breathing exercises and physiotherapy.”  He added that Hazare had initially decided on a ten-day stay, but, depending on the response to the treatment, may extend it to 15 days.

“Although he is fit, his blood pressure is high. Naturopathy will start showing results only after a few days,” Jain added.
