BANGALORE: Bruhat Bangalore Mahnagara Palike (BBMP) started its drive against unauthorised advertisement boards and hoardings on Saturday.
BBMP release said that Commissioner M K Shankarlinge Gowda has ordered the additional and Joint Commissioners of all zones to remove unauthorised hoardings and flex boards in their zone which are marring the beauty of city.
With this, officials have removed 30 flex board and 18 banners in East zone, 26 cut-outs, 40 flex board and 35 banners in West zone. In South zone, 73 flex boards, 12 cut-outs and 200 metre long buntings were removed. Twenty five flex boards and 150 metre long buntings in Rajarajeshwarinagar were removed, a press release stated.
