BANGALORE:  Three persons were killed in separate accidents in the city.

A 23-year-old MBA student was killed on the spot when a private bus hit his bike near Kalena Agrahara on Bannerghatta Road on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sumith Jagadish Chandra Pujari, a native of Ahmedabad. He was studying first year MBA at a private college.

The police said that Sumith had gone to the railway station to book train tickets to go to Ahmedabad. While returning home, a private bus coming from Bannerghatta hit his scooter and Sumith was killed on the spot. Irked by the incident, locals pelted stones at the bus and broke its glasses.

Mico Layout traffic police have registered a case.

In another incident, Sudarshan (28), a car driver, was run over by a bike and was killed on the spot near Hebbal police station on Saturday night. His friend Sandeep sustained injuries in the accident. The police said that the duo had gone to their friend’s residence in Kodigehalli and were returning to their house.

Sudarshan, who was riding the bike, lost control and rammed into a road median. As Sudarshan fell to his left, another bike coming from behind ran over his head, killing him on the spot. The bike rider sped away. Hebbal traffic police have registered a case.

In yet another accident, Muniswamy (48), a welder, was killed on the spot after an SUV knocked him down near Chowdeshwari bus stop on Sumanahalli Ring Road in Vijayanagar traffic police station limits.
