BANGALORE: A four-year-old boy accidentally drowned in a water sump near his residence in Rajajinagar police station limits on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Jack.
According to the police, the incident took place around 8 pm when he was playing while his mother was trying to collect water from the sump.
Jack accidentally slipped and fell into the sump. His mother, who didn’t notice closed the sump and carried on with her chores. After a while his father Edison, who could not find him began searching.
Meanwhile, some of his family members opened the water sump and found him there. Immediately he was shifted to the nearby hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.
