BANGALORE: A man who was allegedly supplying narcotic substances to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison inmates was arrested by K G Halli police.

The accused allegedly supplied ganja packets by hiding them inside the sole of  footwear.

The accused as been identified as Asif Basha (21), a resident of Modi Garden in D J Halli.

The police arrested him near Footwear Design and Development Institute at Lidkar Colony.   

A two-wheeler, 644 grams of ganja and a mobile phone have been recovered from him.

“During interrogation, Basha confessed that he used to supply narcotics to inmates Nazim and Passi at the behest of Imran of Modi Road. He procured ganja from Mala, who lives near City Market. He used to hide ganja packets in the footwear sole by cutting it and in the guise of giving footwear to Nazim and Passi, he supplied them ganja,” the police explained.Further investigations are on in this regard.
