BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Organised Crime Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested six persons who were allegedly planning dacoity.
The accused are Srinivasa alias Seens, 21, Umesh alias Gunda, 19, Dileep alias Punda, 18, Perumal, 20, Venkatesh, 21, and Raju Gowda alias Rajeev alias Spot, 25.
Police said the gang was waiting near Ramasandra Road and Amrutha College Road Junction in Parappana Agrahara to rob passersby. Based on a tip off, police arrested them.
Three bikes, seven mobile phones and lethal weapons were recovered.
Among the accused, Seens is involved in a murder case, an attempt to murder and a dacoity case reported in Seshadripuram, Vyalikaval and Malleswaram police station limits. A case is registered at Parappana Agrahara police station.
In another case, the same police team arrested seven people who were preparing for dacoity near Gangamma Temple in Iliyaz Nagar.
Karthik, 23, Mubarak alias Mubbu, 23, Anandamani, 24, Deepak, 21, Girish, 28, Jabi alias Ammu, 21, and Hasan Ahmad, 21, were arrested. A car and lethal weapons were recovered.
