BANGALORE: A police constable attached to Madiwala police station was attacked by a group of labourers, when he was on night duty at around 4 am on Sunday.
Police said the incident took place when police constable Gopal intervened to stop a quarrel among labourers at an apartment in Bomanahalli Industrial area.
“When he asked them not to fight, the labourers assaulted him. They pushed him and escaped from the scene,” the police stated.
Gopal was taken to St John’s Hospital in Koramangala for treatment.
