BANGALORE: A 52-year-old man succumbed to severe head injuries after a poclain run over him, while he was trying to cross the road near Adarsha Theatre in Ulsoor on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Shankar M, a businessman, was a resident of Gupta Layout.
The police said the accident took place at around 3 pm near Adarsha Theatre while the victim was returning home after attending a family function.
The poclain which was trying to overtake a BMTC bus, ran over him. Though he was shifted to a nearby hospital immediately, he succumbed to injuries.
A case has been registered at Ulsoor traffic police station limits. Efforts are on to nab the driver.
