BANGALORE: Two lionesses, Preksha and Hema, housed at Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) have given birth to three cubs each. According to Dr R Raju, Executive Director of BBP, eight-year-old Preksha and Hema were earlier paired with a 16-year-old lion named Ganesh.

With the addition of these six cubs, the total number of lions in the Park has risen to 32. Both Preksha and Hema are healthy and doing well, stated the press release.
