BANGALORE: A 32-year-old man was murdered by his friends in a drunken brawl in Maruthisevanagar near YMPR Layout on Sunday. The deceased, Lawrence, of YMPR Layout near Ramamurthynagar, was a habitual drunkard.

According to the police, Lawrence had recently resigned from his job at a  pharmaceutical firm and depressed over this, he used to quarrel with his family members. Unable to bear his harassment, his wife had divorced him a few months ago. Police said on Sunday night, a group of miscreants picked up a quarrel with Lawrence and in a heated argument, attacked him with a rod and killed him on the spot.

Banasawadi police registered a case and said that the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.  

Factory Manager Killed Over Property Dispute   

Three unidentified miscreants murdered a manager of a chemical factory in Hoskerehalli on Monday morning. The victim  Satish Kumar, 32, was a resident of K G Nagar.

According to the police, the incident took place near the chemical factory owned by his father-in-law. Assailants attacked Satish with machete and killed him on the spot. Police suspect that miscreants might have killed Satish over property dispute. Allegedly, the same gang had attacked him  a few days ago. Byataraynapura police registered a case in this regard.  

Man Murders Wife Over Illicit Affair

A garment factor employee  was murdered by her husband at her residence in Kasturbanagar near Byatarayanapura on Sunday. The victim Lakshmi, 46, was married to Venkatesh, a daily wage worker. Police said Lakshmi had an illicit relationship with her neighbour and Venkatesh became aware of this affair.

Angered by this, he dropped a stone on her head and killed her and fled. Neighbours noticed Lakshmi’s body lying in a pool of blood and informed police.
