BANGALORE: At a meeting with the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) staffers on Wednesday, chairman of BWSSB Gaurav Gupta, said, “Take up the repair works of borewells and pumps at the earliest in areas where people are dependent on private water suppliers and borewells for drinking water.”

He asked the officers concerned to clear the bills related to water tankers and repair borewells by the end of April. Also, Gupta lauded his staffers for responding on time to the complaints.

“Check for illegal water connections and install bulk meters for proper accounting of water,” Gupta said.

He asked the officials concerned to engage in checks on rain water harvesting, list the buildings (including government buildings) without RWH and to send reminders to them. Chief Engineer Venkatesh Prasad was present.
