BANGALORE: Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research (SJICSR), a governmentowned autonomous institute, formally thanked the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Friday for the contribution of Rs 3 crore towards the treatment of heart ailments for the urban poor.
Mayor Sharadamma and Deputy Mayor S Harish handed over the cheque to Dr C N Manjunath, Director of SJICSR, who said that heart ailments were no longer affecting the urban elite alone.
Deputy Mayor Harish stressing that the BBMP is keen on improving the health of Bangaloreans said, “We have tied up with several organisations to cater to the health needs of citizens.
