BANGALORE: A drunk woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Sharadha Lodge near Majestic on Saturday evening in Upparpet Police station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagyalakshmi (36), a resident of Nelagadaranahalli in Nelamangala. She allegedly had an extra-marital affair with her neighbour and had gone with him to the lodge.  The incident came to light at around 9 pm when her boyfriend found her body hanging from the ceiling after returning to the room with food, the police said.

Bhagya and her boyfriend had consumed alcohol in the lodge and later she had asked him to fetch dinner from outside. While he was away, she hanged herself from the fan, using a dupatta after locking the door.  He along with the lodge staff broke open the door and found her body hanging and informed the police.
