BANGALORE: A five-year-old kid was killed when a lorry ran over him at Chikkalasandra on Sunday. The deceased, Sagar, was a resident of Naidu Layout near Chikkalasandra. His father Ravi and mother Sudha are daily wage workers.

According to police, at around 3.30 pm, Sagar was playing on the road, while his parents were working. A speeding concrete mixing lorry ran over him and he succumbed to injuries at a private hospital.

BMTC Bus Runs Over Passenger

A 40-year-old man, who tried to get down from a moving BMTC bus died after the rear wheel of the bus ran over him near Malleswaram Circle on Monday. The deceased is Aarif Ahamed, a resident of Neelasandra. Police said, at 4.15 pm, the BMTC bus was going to Basveshwarnagar from Shivajinagar. Aarif, was on his way to meet a friend in Malleswaram. As his stop neared, he got down, but lost balance and fell on the road. The bus which was taking a turn, ran over him. He was shifted to K C General Hospital, where he succumbed.
