All you have to do is lend an ear

And you could be anywhere Music brings people together;

It's like a peace maker;

So, next time you're down;

Turn the music on....

Rishika Gundi's fascination with nature, universe and things that often unites us all has led her to discover things that matter the most to our existence.

Through her poetry, she wishes to express the power of unconditional love and true friendship. Her book Wings of Imagination is a collection of poems that showcase Rishika's childlike innocence and provide an interesting insight into her life and people around her.

The poet's immense love for nature and her ability to interpret  mankind's intentions in destroying it, is remarkable. With keen observational skills and a gripping writing style, Rishika has succeeded in creating an imaginative visual imagery that brought some of her subjects to life.

Delving into a vast range of themes ranging from sunshine, rain to even music. Music has the secret to touch hearts.

It opens up your soul and inspires you, expresses the young poet. She often goes beyond the borders of conventional writing and strives to unveil the beauty of culture and life.

Using intricately crafted doodles, she captures the attention of readers and succeeds in making her poems memorable. In one of her poems titled Forgotten Forever, the poet describes a haunted log cabin that stands alone in the dark woods.

Abandoned by its companions, all that is left with it are the memories of a family struck by a calamity and a weary traveller. Through this poem, Rishika has made an interesting connection between life and death.

However, the book requires heavy editing as there are several typos and grammatical errors which divert one's attention from the poetry.

At times, it becomes difficult to appreciate the poet's efforts as it gets masked by the errors.

Overall, the book makes for a pleasant read. Poems like Little Miss Chatter Box, The Rain's Secret and A Walk Through the Forest opens up a portal to the poet's soul. Her thirst for knowledge and curiosity to experience and understand the importance of things that we have long forgotten, adds an element of sincerity to her poetry.

With right guidance, Rishika Gundi has the potential to emerge as a strong writer in the near future.
