Agitating BEd colleges under Bangalore University (BU) which had boycotted valuations of II semester BEd answer scripts have withdrawn their stir and the valuation is set to commence from Monday.

Members of the Karnataka State BEd Lecturers’ and Principals’ Association, which includes teacher education colleges that have been recommended for disaffiliation by the BU Task Force, met Vice-Chancellor N Rangaswamy and Registrar (Evaluation) R K Somashekhar. “We have decided to withdraw our boycott in the interest of students. The authorities have assured us of a favourable outcome for our affiliation demand,” said D N Nataraj, general secretary of the association.

R K Somashekhar on Saturday issued a second call but no one showed up.
