Students of Don Bosco Matriculation School at Erukancherry celebrated the season of Advent recently.

Students of Don Bosco Matriculation School at Erukancherry celebrated the season of Advent recently. The theme of the celebration was ‘Share and Find Joy’. The students enacted the Nativity play and performed a theme song and a dance.

Rev Fr Bernard Lawrence, parish priest of Sagaya Madha Church Velachery, was the chief guest. In his message to the audience he said, “In the early tradition of Christmas, people exchanged hand-made gifts. This symbolises that every individual is the gift of Christmas.”

Rev Father B Anthony, Correspondent of the school, thanked members of the staff, parents and students saying, “Christmas is the spirit of humankind and the attribution of the love of God.”

Principal of Don Bosco Matriculation School Jothimani, Headmaster of St Joseph’s Higher Secondary School Savarimuthu, Headmaster of Good Samaritan Primary School Victor, Principal of Don Bosco Primary School Jaya, were also present. All teachers, parents, and students thoroughly enjoyed the day. The celebration ended with the arrival of Santa Claus.
