It was celebration time for the congregation as various events were conducted to mark the day. During the worship service, Leon Soprano Deshmukh and team enthralled the congregation by singing various songs. After the service, Women’s Fellowship and Sunday School exhibited tableaux enacting the nativity scene. Nativity scene is nothing but the birth of Jesus Christ at a manger in Bethlehem. Speaking to City Express, Sunday School Superintendent Ivy Christopher said: “Since a week we tried to give our best to  the church. All children engaged in the nativity scene took part actively despite having school tests.”

Meanwhile, women too enacted the nativity scene in their own way. They dressed up like wise men and in their hands they carried the placards of good news of Jesus Christ. Speaking to CE, Satyaprema of the Women’s Fellowship said: “It is a great opportunity to enact the nativity scene in the church to just to share the news of Jesus.” Women without any hesitation depicted the birth of Jesus Christ with a round of applause.

Women’s Fellowship secretary Pushpalata said: “Since so many years we are doing this. Actually we wait for Christmas to come. It is really a good opportunity to come together and enact the scene.”

Monisha, a volunteer, said: “I find great relief by helping children get ready for the scene. It is very tough to handle children. Bringing them on one platform is an Herculean task.”

Later, the Church conducted draw of Christmas Hamper Cake ticket.
