Two arrested for murders

The city police solved two murder cases. The Bangalore International Airport (BIA) police arrested a man who killed his mother as he was  frustrated with her drinking habits. The incident was reported on September 30 in Byachapura. According to the police, the accused Venkatesh, 21, a storekeeper in a private factory, killed his mother Jayamma, 42.

He killed Jayamma and later dumped the body at a field. The owner of the field, Venkataraju, informed the matter to the police.

It is said that Jayamma and her husband Lakshminarayanappa, both daily wagers,  had come to the city three years ago. Venkatesh was staying separately at a rented house along with his wife Nalini in Devanahalli. It is said that Jayamma’s habits had caused troubles to the family and angered by this,  Vekatesh killed her.

In another incident, Subramanyapura police have arrested a 30-year-old man for killing his wife.  The incident was reported on December 8. Police said the accused, Raghu alias Raju, killed his wife Ambika, 25, by hitting her head with a blunt weapon. He was angry as she refused to bring dowry.
