Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Selaiyur, celebrated the 63rd Republic Day on January 26 on the school premises. Chief guest Wing Commander Dr Vijay Bhupesh hoisted the       national flag.

In his presidential address, Dr Vijay advised the students to imbibe basic ethics, courage and confidence. He told them to participate in extra-curricular activities to acquire a versatile personality and shared with them his success mantra, the acronym CASH which stands for Confidence, Attitude, Sincerity and Honesty .

Students performed a number of music and dance numbers. The school headmistress delivered the vote of thanks and the programme ended with the national anthem.
