HYDERABAD/BANGALORE: A software engineer working for an MNC was arrested by CID officials in Bangalore on Friday for uploading obscene images and content of a former woman colleague.

The accused T Satish and the victim had worked together in Hyderabad in the past and become good friends. Taking advantage of their friendship, Satish blackmailed her and made her agree to marry him. Subsequently, he took some obscene photographs of her by threatening her.

Offended by his behaviour, the woman gradually distanced herself from him and finally stopped talking with him. Irked, Satish bore grudge against her and hacked her e-mail ID and transmitted her obscene pictures to the contact list.

He also created a fake Facebook account of hers and published her obscene pictures and sent the same to her friends and relatives, causing deep mental agony to her and her family members,  police said.

Following a complaint,  the CID sleuths arrested Satish in Bangalore and seized a laptop, a hard disk and an IPhone from him.

Cases were registered against him and he was remanded in judicial custody for 15 days.
