BANGALORE: As a part of the 150th Swami Vivekananada Jayanthi celebrations, Bangalore University Yoga Centre organised a ‘Youth Day’ titled ‘Personality Development Camp’ at its centre, Jnanabharathi Campus. Around 100 students from affiliated post graduation and under graduation colleges of Bangalore University participated in the event.

Professor N Rangaswamy, finance officer, BU, inaugurated the event and said that personality development means not merely practicing yoga at physical and mental level, but adopting wisdom and gaining knowledge.

Swamy Sharadatmanada, president of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Bangalore, spoke to students about the will power of  Swami Vivekananda. He also asked the students to practice the ideals of Swami Vivekananda to attain happiness in their lives.  

Dr V Nagesh Bettakote, director of Yoga Centre, BU,  presided over the programme and assured the gathering that the Centre will organise similar programmes in the future.
