BANGALORE: Karnataka Janapada Parishat is hosting a two-day ‘Janapada Lokotsava’, an annual event from February 11.

Folk artistes from various parts of the state will perform on one platform during the event.

Forest Minister C P Yogeshwar is expected to inaugurate the event at Janapada Loka on Bangalore-Mysore highway in Ramanagaram district.

A handicraft exhibition and a desi food festival will be held as part of the festival. Beesu Kamsaale, Chit Mela, Paanara Aata, Laavani, Sootrada Bombe Aata and other talents will be dispalyed. A felicitation programme will be organised on February 12. Pontiff of Adichunchanagiri Math Balagangadharanatha Swamiji will grace the occasion.

Minister for Kannada and Culture Govinda M Karajol will present the awards to folk artistes.
