BANGALORE: The curiosity of a SSLC student resulted in misfire of a double barrel gun, that belonged to a private bank’s security guard. A youth sustained injuries in the incident that was reported at Shyam Rao Vittal Bank in Jayanagar Ninth block on Friday. The injured has been identified as Abdul Rauf, a resident of BTM Layout.

Police said that Muddanna, security guard of the bank, was an acquaintance of the boy. “The boy is the son of the man,  who has rented out the building for the bank. The owner’s family also stays in the same building. The boy was in good terms with Muddanna,  and in the evening, he asked the guard how the gun functioned. Muddanna started explaining how the gun functions,” the police said.

The boy later asked Muddanna to give the gun, who agreed and gave away the gun to the boy. He pulled the trigger. Eventually, the pellet scattered and broke the window glass of a Bolero vehicle that was parked near the Bank. Also, Rauf, who was passing on a bike with his friend was injured in the incident,” the police added.
