BANGALORE: Upset over his mother’s death, a 32-year-old man ended his life by hanging at his residence in Vivekanagar. The deceased has been identified as Suman. Police said that his mother Radha, 60, suffered from ailments.
Her husband, Venugopal, was an ex-serviceman and had passed away some years ago. The mother and son depended on his pension and Suman, a bachelor, was reportedly addicted to alcohol. On Thursday night, Radha died of heart and kidney failure and upset over her death, Suman committed suicide.
“Radha’s daughter lives in the vicinity and on Thursday, she had given dinner to both of them. The incident came to light when she came again on Friday morning.” Viveknagar police have registered a case.
