BANGALORE: Allegedly dejected after her boyfriend married  another girl, a co-artiste and a choreographer ended her life by hanging at her residence in fifth cross of Tavarekere Main Road. Though she had committed suicide 2-3 days ago, the incident came to light on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Savita Rani (30). She had reportedly acted as co-artiste in some Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. She has also choreographed some song sequences for Tamil and Telugu TV serials.

According to the police, Rani had married one Shashikumar and had settled in Tamil Nadu. However, she had divorced him two years ago. Later, she moved to Bangalore and came in contact with a person identified as Deepu and gradually they fell in love with each other.

“A week or two ago, Deepu got married to another girl and Rani was depressed after that. She had not answered any phone calls since three days and when her brother visited her house on Saturday morning, she was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her room. The body was in a decomposed state as she took the step two-three days ago,” the police explained.
