BANGALORE: Karnataka Kshatriya Maratha Parishad has thanked the State government for its decision to celebrate the birth anniversary of Chatrapati Shivaji as a State programme.
Speaking to media persons here, V A Ranoji Rao, Member, Karnataka Kshatriya Maratha Parishad said, “We are denied of promotion opportunities and we have, therefore, remained backward in economic, social and education fields.
We will appeal to the government to include us under 2(A) from the existing 3(B)”.
Meanwhile, the Parishad is gearing up Shivaji’s birth anniversary celebrations on February 19.
