BANGALORE: Dejected over failed relationship, Veeresh Shetty, 24, a manager with a software firm ended his life by consuming poison at his residence in Ashokapura of Mahalakshmi Layout on Valentine’s Day on Tuesday. Police said that Shetty’s lover had called off the relationship recently.
Last Saturday he had gone to Udupi, where he had tried to commit suicide. However, he had escaped with minor injuries. When he did not respond to his parents’ calls, they asked their relatives to check what had happened. The suicide came to light on Wednesday when Shetty’s uncle came to his house.
Boy Electrocuted
Arun Kumar, 15, a tenth grade student, was electrocuted while fetching water from a sump at his residence in Peenya on Tuesday. The boy, who went to fetch water from a sump, accidentally touched a wire attached to the motor and was electrocuted.
Thief Thrashed
