Coffee Outing Turns Tragic; 3 Killed, 1 Hurt

BANGALORE: Three city-based students, who were going to a coffee shop near Hoskote, were killed on the spot after their car rammed into a lorry that was parked on the road side near Dasarahalli Gate on NH7 near Hoskote on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Azlan S Ahmed, 20, a BBM student at Oxford College, Kiran Joseph, 17, PU student at Christ College and Keshavan, 19, a BBM student at Mahaveer Jain college.  Peter alias Rahul, also a PU student at Christ College, who was with them sustained severe injuries.

The police said that the group of friends were going towards Hoskote to have coffee at a coffee shop on the highway. Azlan, who was driving the Honda City car, did not notice a lorry that was parked on the road side and rammed the car into the lorry around 1.30 am.

Due to the impact, the three were killed on the spot, while Peter was rushed to a hospital.

Hoskote police registered a case and arrested the lorry driver for parking the vehicle haphazardly.

The post mortem was conducted at Hoskote government hospital and the bodies were handed over to their family members.
